Time to see a doctor: Moderate chest pain means she should talk with her doctor or go to the ER. She should not drive (safer by ambulance). In teen-aged adults, chest pain would very rarely be a heart attack. It more likely is something such as myocarditis, pericarditis, other heart symptoms, costochondritis (inflamed rib cartilage), pleurisy, or anxiety attack symptoms. The ER may check some tests and a chest x-ray.
