No: If you have optic nerve atrophy, it is unrelated to anxiety levels.

Not directly: Optic nerve atrophy is always serious and the mechanisms and actual cause might remain poorly understood. If non-specific inflammation is the cause that might involve as well brain tissue and conceivably cause severe panic. In other words your symptoms may have a common root.
