Chest X-ray: EKG and a cardiac stress test are necessary to accurately diagnose this issue. Abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds will confirm issues in most cases and you should consult a cardiologist.

I went to the er for chest pain and my heart was high. They did a d dimer and it was 850. So they did a ct scan and er doctor said it was normal nothing was found. Should I still seek a second opinion because why would it be high in the first place?
Cough for almost 2 months now. saw 2 doctors for it about month ago - told lungs sound clear. had a chest xray & CT scan of chest (~2 wks ago)- came back clear w/ "perfect lungs". cough dry w/ very little clear mucus. taking mucinex DM - helps.
Went to er for short of breath and sharp chest pain. xray and bloodwork normal. but d dimer was 564 and considered elevated but doctor said it's fine and sent home. could it still be blood clot? o2 sats were 94 ?
