Went to er for short of breath and sharp chest pain. xray and bloodwork normal. but d dimer was 564 and considered elevated but doctor said it's fine and sent home. could it still be blood clot? o2 sats were 94 ?

D-dimer is interpreted along with other tests to diagnose a blood clot and not by itself. Rarely anxiety can cause it too. If you got checked out and the ER doc says you are OK then dont worry. If still worried have it repeated
