Terms: If you are having TMJ problems, you can have irritation to your fascial nerve and or trigeminal nerve (nerves 7 and 5). These control the muscles to your face and jaw . If you have irritation to the TMJ area this can effect these nerves and cause fascial spasm. Hemi is half or one side so" one side of face"spasm.
