Neurologist: Should see a neurologist. The numbness is a concern and may not even be tmj, but other underlying source of symptoms.

Never: Tmj problems have no relation to facial nerve problems. If you have facial nerve deficit, sounds more like a tumor. See an ENT or oral surgeon asap.
