Pregnant ?'s: Pregnancy will cause increased binding of thyroid hormone, making some inactive clinically, and your OB physician should be doing periodic testing to avoid significant drops in "free thyroxine", as low thyroid hormone in pregnancy can seriously affect the fetus.
