Not necessarily: Hypogeusia is diminished sense of taste. Some people who are seen due to concerns about lack of taste sensation actually are having problems detecting smells. Unusual breath odors and dry mouth have been described with Zoloft- but I haven't seen hypoqeusia listed as a side effect. If you have no symptoms other than muted taste that does not mandate stopping the medication.
