Fluids/hIgh Fiber: Young male with constipation with mid abd . discomfort(occasional), and very rare and brief post evacuation dripping blood. My Dx will be IBS-C with probable Internal hemorrhoids, Detailed History and Physical Exam. very important, ask him to take high fiber, plenty of fluids and OTC prep H twice a day and make a appointment with GI for Colon examination and further w/u depends on his HX

Rectal bleeding...: ...always requires medical atention. With your infrequent movements, it may be hemorrhoids or minor trauma from straing at stool (which probably is quite hard, given your apparent chronic constipation). But more serious problems are possible and this must be professionally evaluated. Your infrequent BMs also should be addressed -- maybe diet changes, fiber supplements, or other recommendations.
