Why and when to do non invasive prenatal test (nipt)? i'm 34 yrs old and nt test was ok.

After 10 wks: Screening tests select out a subgroup of pregnancies more likely to have birth defects. The NIPT finds fetal cells circulating in mom's blood to do specific tests. These tests can find Down syndrome or other chromosome defects, specific metabolic diseases or paternity. If the results would alter your plans it may be worthwhile. With a normal screening, it may not be worth the added expense.
