Just had an arm surgery for a break. a metal plate was placed in the aarm. now the fingers on the operated arm are turning orange around the nail.

Blood: This is most likely pigment from breakdown of older blood which gravitated downwards from the operated area to the hands. You could mention this to your orthopedic surgeon for reassurance or to see if he/she would want to examine you.
