Ulnar nerve : What you describe is ulnar nerve irritation (called cubital tunnel syndrome ) most likely probably has nothing directly to do with the rotator cuff surg but could be associated with the sling afterwards putting pressure on the nerve (funny bone) careful how you rest your arm and discuss with your surgeon.

See below: The nerves for the arm pass very close to the site of your shoulder surgery. It is quite possible that some swelling or scar tissue is impinging on them as they cross near this area. Talk to your orthopedic surgeon about your symptoms and let them guide your care.
