Not in USA: The WHO is recommending that HIV-positive mothers or their infants take antiretroviral drugs throughout the period of breastfeeding & until the infant is 12 months old for breastfeeding. In the USA the CDC & the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that HIV-infected mothers avoid breastfeeding their infants completely. So please check with your local health officials in Durban.
