Information: The best treatment is forther surgery most likely with regional node resection. You need evaluation for spread to other organs before doing anything. See an oncologist, and either a general or plastic surgeon.

Surgery: Surgery is the best treatment of melanoma. If the melanoma has spread so that surgery is not possible there are new chemotherapeutic medication that shows some promise. Cancer centers also have vaccines and there is a medication called interferon that may help. In some cases radiation therapy is used to reduce symptoms but it cannot sure melanoma.
