Speech Therapy!: Are you a very fast talker/chewer? If so, slowing down would be helpful. It's so darn hard though b/c after you bite, the tissue swells, which makes it easier to bite again, and so on...if its really bothersome to you, you may consider speech therapy. With this, your therapist can teach you maneuvers to change how your mouth moves with talking/chewing, which may help prevent your problem!

Trauma: Important that you check in with your Dentist, especially if ou have missing teeth that have never been replaced, or a malocclusion (bad bite) that has never been addressed. Your Dentist may want a second opinion from a specialist Orthodontist. Please examine this route of investigation.
