A member asked:

I was diagnosed with severe depression, anxiety, and complex ptsd. however, as a kid i was diagnosed with add. can this be confused for depression?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't think so: I have managed hundreds of ADHD cases over decades & cannot see any way anyone would confuse this with depression. The conditions you mention are related to the final maturation/development of the nervous system. (around 22 in women) Such conditions usually emerge in late teen years or later & are rarely seen earlier.
