Over growth: of the uterine lining past the ability of blood vessels to support further thickening of the lining, causes partial shedding. This is not sufficient to protect against abnormal cells developing in the lining, if this goes on for an extended period. Recommend progesterone treatment every 90 days to cause a more complete shedding of the lining, if not ovulating, to avoid risk of uterine lining cance
