I need clarity on hpv55 (transferability of virus, recommenced precautions, duration of infection etc). the medical practice where i did sexual health screening took several weeks to get test results and then couldnt answer my questions about hpv55 ?

HPV: HPV is classified into two large families being high and low risk. HPV 55 is classified as a low risk. Low risk HPV carry a low liklihood for progression to cancer. It is still important that you follow up with your Gynecologist and do any recommended testing as scheduled.
