HPV ?'s: HPV has many variants, but the types called "high risk" (generally type 16 and 18) can cause pap abnormalities which more frequently can progress to pre-cancerous cell abnormalities. This process may take months to develop, and in early stages is easy to treat. Get a pap smear in 3-6 months after exposure, to be safe.
