I would speak : with the ordering provider regarding the results of this and any other tests you had. Interpreting isolated numbers on a test is useless without clinical information most of the time.

Hi, I had a test of blood the result was like this MEAN PLATELET VOLUME (MPV) 10.5 fL [6.4 - 9.7] MONOCYTES (ABS COUNT) 0.81 X10^9/L [0 - 1].?
My blood platelet count is 230x10^3/uL but MPV is 13.6fL (normal range is mentioned as 9-13 in the report). Should I need to be worried or is it normal?
Platelets at 252 but MPV is at 6.9. The rest of blood parameters were all within normal range. Concerned this might be some sort of early stage cancer?
Need help docs! my blood platelets were low (125k) and i increased it (131k) but now my mpv is high, what can I do?
