Emollient : An emollient like Vaseline will relive just dry lips but not actinic chelitis. Unless you have had long exposure to sun light from an out-door occupation, actinic chelitis is unlikely. If application of emollient fails to resolve the matter, it would be prudent to see a dermatologist. Just in case you "dry lips" are due to vitamin deficiency, take multivitamins.

I have eczema and whenever I kiss my partner my lips get really dry, similar to cheilitis (in the corners but primarily a lot of cracking and dryness that outlines my lips). Is there are precautionary measure or method that I could try to avoid this?
Lips are generally very dry & chapped no matter how much lip balm I use. Often have attacks of angular cheilitis. Dr says nothing can be done about it?
