Bv infection ?: "BV" can be considered a "local" infection, and appropriate prophylaxis is usually done just prior to instrumentation of the endometrial cavity. Assuming the "BV" was discovered by a culture done prior to the attempted endometrial biopsy, and then the cervical exterior and canal was treated with an antiseptic, the risk of spread is minimal.
