Preventing yeast, BV: For your HPV, the answer is yes: continue to watch and wait i.e. follow your doctor's advice about follow-up paps, HPV testing, etc. Recurrent or persistent yeast or BV usually can be prevented, e.g. fluconazole (Diflucan) by mouth once a week, and perhaps vaginal MetroGel or boric acid vaginal capsules. If your doc is unfamiliar with these, consult w/ a gyn who specializes in infectious diseases.
