Does rebeprazole cause acid rebound if taken on "as needed basis"and not everyday (took only when pain in stoamch-2 times a week) compared to zantac?

As needed: I believe zantac or pepcid are better choices to take as needed as they are faster acting than ppi's like rebeprazole Ppi's are most effective when taken in the morning on an empty stomach before certain stomach cells start to secrete acid.
