EGD & Laryngoscopy: It is possible your reflux has involved your upper esophagus. You may need an EGD and laryngoscopy.

"Swollen" throat: ...May still be a manifestation of acid reflux even if your other symptoms, such as heartburn, are now under control. I would use Prilosec every day for 1-2 weeks before trying to wean off of it, in addition to adopting anti-reflux precautions. If the swollen throat persists, I would return to see your doctor.
