Eustachian tubes: Only the openings in the throat can be viewed. These tubes allow air to equalize pressures in your middle ears. With allergic diseases, pollens, chronic sinus disease and other upper respiratory irritants that cause inflammation, the membranes that line these tubes leak mucous fluids which can cause an obstruction and fluids behind the drums. This and unequal pressures cause "fullness". Try saline
