Little or no risk: This has had more attention in the media and health educationthan it deserves. Could razor sharing transmit serious infections? Probably yes. But with sufficient frequency to be worrisome? Almost certainly not. If the other person is carrying skin bacteria like staph or strep, that's the main risk. Few if any blood borne infections (HIV, viral hepatitis) from razor sharing have ever been known.
