A member asked:

Ultrasound says a 4 mm single echogenic focus in right kidney without shadowing, what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calcification: An echogenic focus in the kidney is usually caused by calcification. Usually this is a kidney stone, but it is possible this could be calcification in the wall of the blood vessels.
