Go to ER: There is no clear answer, but I would encourage a visit to the emergency room especially if this is a persistent (non-stop) sensation. The location of your sensation makes me concerned that it may be a heart attack. Women and diabetics in particular can have non-classic symptoms of a heart attack, but please have this checked even if you don't fit these categories.
