About
Bio
Hi! I'm Dr. Manel Silva. I am currently working in HIV prevention in South Africa and doing telemedicine. In the past, I've been the HIV Director of community clinics in Brooklyn, as well as the clinical director of an adolescent program in an LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) clinic in New York City. I am board certified in internal medicine and in adolescent medicine, and have a certificate in HIV care. I also worked in primary care clinics for adults, and serviced as a sexual assault forensic examiner at Mount Sinai Medical Center's emergency room. I am also a mom.
