a pulse of 110 : not necessarily a concern. Likely your heart rate decreases during rest. If you have no symtoms there is no reason to take carvedilol unless your doctor prescribed. It is not very effective for rate control. First generation beta blockers or non-dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers are a better choice for rate control only if your PCP agrees.
