Beta blockers: Both Coreg (carvedilol) & Metoprolol (tartrate & succinate) are blood pressure lowering medications in the beta blocker class which slows heart rate in add'n to lowering BP. Work w/your dispensing doc to find correct dose that lowers your BP (goal <150/90) & HR (low 60s). Record your BP @ home then bring your cuff to your doc for calibration.
