A member asked:

Small tear in wrist from months ago still hasnt healed, doctor thinks a cortisone shot would help &theres fluid too, any other way to relieve fluid?

Dr. John Chiu answered

Orthopedist?: I suggest that you consult an orthopedist (preferably one who specialised in the hands) to get checked. A cortisone shot may transiently reduce the inflammation but it is better to find out the cause and then treatment options.
