Good evening we need advice- my 8 year swallowed a magnet the size of a capsule slightly bigger. we made him to vomit but nothing came out. should we take him to hospital. he is fine but we are concerned because of the object material. please advise?

It will pass: If it is not sharp and the size of a capsule, it will likely pass in the stool in a couple of days. If he develops abdominal pain , you will need take him to the emergency room. In the meanwhile, enjoy his magnetic personality-if just for a little while.

Depends: If it is just one magnet & you/he is absolutely sure you can relax. If he swallowed more than one or it was in a form that would break into parts, it could pinch bowel together & create an emergency. If very solid, it should pass in 3-5 days.
