Ankle cuts: Small cuts on skin below ankle without further info as to the depth, swelling, redness, drainage is missing. Generally superficial cuts (scratches) only go part of the way through the skin and rarely become infected. However they may, and should be observed. There's sparse detail, ie., are you diabetic, or suffer other conditions. Have you changed footwear? or exposed to insects? See your doc-
