Im sick & saw a doctor the other day but was told to just ride it out and continue taking otc meds. i have a sinus infection. what can i take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Most sinus congestion is caused by viral infections that antibiotics dont help and allergies that antihistamines helps. If no hypertension then a decongestant will help but will increase Blood pressure. Netipot-sinus rinse and warm baths/Showers help temporary.Nasal steroid such as flonase will help some but take a few days to work.If not Getting better by 10 days may need antibiotics at that time
