How much ibuprofen is appropriate to help reduce inflammation in the mouth after root canal plus 2 extractions?

Ibuprofen: 1 200mg Ibuprofen is 10% more effective than 2 aspirin, 40% more effective than 2 Tylenol, at relieving dental pain. Talk to your treating Dentist who knows your surgical history, medication history, and anticipated need. He/she may recommend 2 or 3 every 4 hours with a meal or liquids.

2400-3200mg per day: Ibuprofen has anti-inflammatory effect at 600-800mg single dose. For otherwise healthy adults, 600mg every 6 hours or 800mg every 6-8 hours can help with pain and inflammation. The maximum dose should not go beyond total 3200mg per day. Ibuprofen tends to irritate the stomach, so be sure to take your doses with food.
