Probably normal: Most people have palpable lymph nodes in their inguinal area. Usually small and gritty. I f they are large increasing in size or tender or if you have other features of illness such as fever or malaise or weight loss then you should see a doctor for a full history, examination and evaluation

Some basics: The lymph nodes are regional serum sifters that remove debris/germs from the tissue fluid outside of the blood.They swell in response to local activity & usually return to resting size in 3-4 wks. An infection, bug bites or skin rash on that leg or nearby skin is often the trigger. They are rarely more than a transient irritant.
