I had a bad cavity infection which was causing swelling on my eye & face. was on antibiotics but had the tooth taken out eventually, swelling is still there though. there was no abscess that the dentist could see?

Time frame ?: How long ago was the tooth extracted? The swelling could be a result of a residual infection and inflammation which can take up to two weeks to resolve. You may need another course of antibiotics to clear things up.
