Consult Oral surgeon: You most probably have the pain due to impacted 3rd molar. The pain you have may be due to pressure from that tooth or a gum flap covering that tooth may be infected, it is called pericoronitis. You would need removal of that wisdom tooth as soon as your oral surgeon can do it. If you have infection, your dentist can put you on antibiotics & pain meds. while you are waiting for surgery.

Probably not cancer: But you will have b3 seen and re-examined to determine cause and appropriate treatment. Tooth pain can be caused by decayed or fractured tooth (which may not appear on x-ray), impaction, gum infection, referred pain from other area, jaw joint problem (click indicates displaced disc), etc. if your Dentist can't see you it may be time to find a Dentist that can evaluate you.
