How does an oral surgeon go about removing whats left of a front tooth that had a root canal and was capped? since there not much left of the tooth,

Not too difficult: We have special instruments that can tease a root out of mouth. It may require a little bit of bone removal aroound the existing root, but you're numb and won't feel it. Front teeth are usually easy enough that a long time GP, like me would take it out unless the root if funny shaped or you have some health issue. Go get your smile back.
