A member asked:

Am 35 weeks pregnant and hiv positive, my viral load has always been undetachable before i use treatment, should i go for natural birth or c-section?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

HIV: delivery ?: If the viral load is less than 1000, vaginal delivery presents a low risk of infection. If the viral load is greater than 1000, a cesarean section is generally recommended, as the risks for transmission to a newborn are increased.
