I am normal weight and was just diagnosed with diabetes type 2. i've read this could mean an early sign of pancreatic cancer. is this true?

Maybe: Pancreatic cancer patients who have had diabetes for less than five years, it is unclear if the diabetes contributed to the cancer or if the precancerous cells caused the diabetes. Research suggest that new-onset diabetes in people over 50 may be an early symptom of pancreatic cancer.However,diabetes is much more common that pancreatic cancer.
