Hungry: Perhaps your blood sugar has been quite low after eating foods (carbohydrates) which may release insulin levels as your blood sugar first spikes and then drops low within an hour after insulin release. Checking your blood sugar before and 1or2 hours after a meal would show this pattern. Metformin usually causes modest weight loss unless you eat the wrong foods.
