More info needed: Is the discomfort at waist level,above or below? Does it radiate? Is it sharp or dull? constant or intermittent? How long does it last? What aggravates it? What helps? Muscular or skeletal causes are likely rather than kidney or nerve pathology. See your MD for evaluation as needed. Antiinflammatory medication like ibuprofen and resting may be all you need for resolution of the back discomfort.
