Absolutely: There are terrific physicians in both geographic regions who specialize in diagnosis and treatment of back pain. If you have not been seen by your primary doctor that is a good place to start. Alternatively, you can see a pain specialist like myself who specializes in diagnosis and treatment of spine pain or a spine surgeon for workup. It might be jumping the gun to start with a surgeon.
