A member asked:

My 6 year old has been diagnosed with german measles even though she has had all her vaccinations. when is it safe for her to go back to school?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some basics: A single rubella shot or MMR will protect 85% and 2nd shot brings protection up to 95%. In areas where there is poor vaccination rates or an active case, rubella risk is heightened for everyone. A kid with rubella can return to school 7 days after the rash appears.
