A member asked:

Hi i have prolonged qt syndrome. i have been feeling pain in my left leg for months so i asked my dr. to test my d-dimer. the result was 456ng. what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

D-Dimer: Normal plasma levels of D-dimer by ELISA testing are <500 ng/mL for fibrin equivalent units (FEU) or <250 ng/mL for D-dimer units (DDU). As you can see that it is difficult to interpret your result based on information you gave, please provide more information. Its best to discuss it with the ordering physician. Good luck.
