Anxiety: Acute anxiety can cause elevation of blood pressure, and heart rate. If these came back down; you had no symptoms of chest discomfort or prolonged dizziness, then you ithis transient elevation of blood pressure and heart rate are due to the anxiety. If you have prolonged episodes of this however, you should be evaluted.
