A member asked:

0.8% immature granulocytes (normal) but 0.08 absolute immature granulocytes (high).all other cbc test results normal.why might the absolute # be high?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Borderline: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, one borderline result is not a concern. If you do not have any symptoms you may repeat the test in 2-3 months to rule out a transient phenomenon.
